Administrative Assistant & Student Fellow

Raahim Hashmi is a sophomore at Duke University studying Public Policy and Asian & Middle Eastern Studies. For the 2025–2026 academic year, he serves as a Student Fellow and Administrative Assistant at Duke’s Middle East and Islamic Studies Center. Originally from Piscataway, New Jersey, Raahim is particularly interested in the intersection of policy and the Middle East. On campus, he serves as a Senator in the Duke Student Government and is a board member of the Muslim Student Association. Looking ahead, he hopes to pursue a career in law.
