Intersectional Global Muslim Identities

DISC invites faculty, staff, and students to apply for funding to better engage the campus and Durham community with Global Muslim Identities from an intersectional lens. Our hope is to promote and support events that represent Islam from a myriad of different perspectives and social locations (gender, race, social class, age, ability, religion, sexual orientation, and geographic location).

Faculty and Graduate Student Research Travel Grants

The DISC Faculty and Graduate Student Research Travel Grant fund seeks to advance Duke University faculty and graduate students by supporting research and scholarly engagement, both at Duke and beyond. Funds can be used to support travel and projects that advance research, engage with partners or provide Duke graduate students with new opportunities for learning and engagement. Funds may also support travel to conferences to enhance scholarly networks. All project proposals should delineate measurable outcomes and assessment criteria.
