Duke University is committed to building an Islamic studies program that approaches Islam as a global phenomenon and is genuinely interdisciplinary.

Courses related to Islam and Muslims are available in a number of academic departments, including religion, cultural anthropology and history. 

Both undergraduate and graduate students can focus their studies on Islam in a number of programs and departments. Duke also offers several undergraduate study away and service learning programs that relate to the study of Islam.
